With draft shifts enabled, shifts are saved as drafts until approved by an authorised user.

Giving users the ability to approve draft shifts
This feature gives your centre greater control over the shifts posted on our app, giving you more control over your budget and staffing needs.
With the draft shifts feature enabled, every shift posted on the app will be set as a draft and won't be published to our market of educators until it's approved by an authorized user such as a manager or other users you give access to do so.
To enable draft shifts for your centre please contact us through the support chat or email admin@zstaffing.com.au
Depending on your user access levels, you will be able to manage draft shifts in different ways.
Posting draft shifts
When a regular user for your centre tries to post a shift, instead of the shift being released to our pool of educators, the shift will instead go into the draft shifts pile for approval. See more about user permissions around draft shifts below >
Viewing your drafts awaiting approval
After you have created a draft shift, you can find it in the "Drafts" section of your "Shifts" tab. You are allowed to make modifications to any of the drafts before they are approved. Once you make changes, the centre users who have the authority to approve drafts will be notified.
Pro tip!
If a user with draft shift approval access tries to post a shift, it goes directly to the educator pool instead of drafts.
Approving draft shifts
Only users that have access to approve draft shifts will see these options.
You will be notified whenever a team member posts a draft shift and is ready for approval. To access the draft shifts head over to the "Shifts" tab and tap on the "Draft" section from the top of the page.
Here you will see a list of all the draft shifts awaiting approval for all the centres you have access to. We've made this easy so you don't have to switch to each centre individually.
Approving shifts one-by-one
To approve single shifts, you can either tap on the quick approve button on each shift card one by one, or you can view the details of each shift to see the complete shift information and edit it if required before posting it.
Bulk approving draft shifts
If you want to approve multiple draft shifts at once, you can simply select all of them by tapping on the "Select all" option located in the top right corner of each Centre's draft shift section.
After selecting all the shifts, you will be presented with the option to either "Approve" or "Decline" all the draft shifts in the group. This allows you to quickly process multiple draft shifts in one go.
Giving users the ability to approve draft shifts
Please note that users with "Owner" and "Area Manager" permissions can approve draft shifts by default. These users can also choose which other users have the authority to approve drafted shifts.
To manage user details, go to the "Accounts" tab and select "Manage your team" in the General section. Then, choose the user you want to manage, and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Here you will find the "Can approve draft shifts" checkbox.
By selecting this box, users can approve draft shifts for the centre. Additionally, any shifts posted by these users will go directly to the educator pool, bypassing the draft stage.
