Sometimes bonuses are added to a shift as an added incentive for you to take the shift. Here's a bit more info on bonus shifts.
A bonus can be added to a shift as an added incentive for educators to take the shift. Sometimes the centre can be in higher need and want you to notice their shifts first, or they know that their centre is slightly further away so a bonus is added to help cover travel times and costs.
Identifying shifts with Bonuses
It's easy to identify a shift that comes with a bonus from the shift cards. A shift that has a bonus attached will display a green bonus badge that shows you the amount of extra money you'll receive for that shift.
Pro tip!
The total estimated pay for the shift includes the bonus, which means that the bonus amount is already included in the total.
When you tap into the shift details before you accept the shift, you will see the same bonus badge on the top right of the screen.
Seeing bonuses on already accepted or completed shifts
If you have accepted or completed a shift, you can check the bonus amount by going to the "My shifts" tab. The bonus will be visible on the shift card and you can view the shift details by tapping on it.
How does tax work on bonuses?
All shift bonuses are subject to tax and will be detailed on your payslip.
