Additionally, providing fridge space for their iftar meal ensures they can eat as soon as their fast ends, especially if they’re still working.

4. Encouraging Team Understanding & Support

Educate non-fasting staff about Ramadan and fasting so they can offer understanding and support. Avoid making assumptions, such as thinking a fasting educator is disengaged or unwell. A supportive, empathetic team culture is crucial for creating an inclusive and respectful environment.

5. Recognising the Spiritual & Mental Strength of Fasting Educators

Ramadan fasting requires discipline, patience, and self-control. Acknowledging these as positives in the classroom and simply recognising the commitment of fasting educators can go a long way in making them feel valued and respected.
